Self Confidence
Many of us have self esteem issues, however how do we get over them? Clearly listening to other people tell you that you’re fine and that there is nothing wrong with you does not help. It is because you’re the only person to change the way you see things. We are all human, meaning we are constantly growing and changing. I don’t believe we should have one label to define us. That being said, we need to accept who we are and realize that we can be what we strive to be (this may be too corny and cliche of me). To have self confidence, we need to embrace the fact that we will make mistakes but we will be able to fix them and make things better. We can only be the best we can be if we try. In terms of looks, I know many girls, including myself, who have self confidence issues. If you love yourself and are happy with your life, you will have the confidence you strive for. |
My heart belongs in New York City. Smiles and laughter are what get me by each day. Trying to find my special purpose in this life. I believe I am destined to make a change, even if it is one person's life. One of my many favorite quotes: “What are you going to do with your life?” In one way or another it seemed that people had been asking her this forever; teachers, her parents, friends at three in the morning, but the question had never seemed this pressing and still she was no nearer an answer… “Live each day as if it’s your last’, that was the conventional advice, but really, who had the energy for that? What if it rained or you felt a bit glandy? It just wasn’t practical. Better by far to be good and courageous and bold and to make difference. Not change the world exactly, but the bit around you. Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately and fully and well. Experience new things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance.” — Dave Nicholls (One Day) We could all lend a hand |
